Hello ! I'm Willow - photographer, horse girl, lover of quiet moments & living the dream on the Alberta Prairies.
I'm drawn to the moments that don't ask to be noticed but deserve to be remembered. A camera has been in my possession for years even though I was never confident behind it - which all changed when I moved to Castor & started to experience ranching on the prairies. Everywhere I turned, there was beauty and moments begging to be frozen in time and for a year, that's what I did. Mentally capturing pictures to cherish but that wasn't enough. It was time to dust off my camera and take a leap of faith and my journey began.
While I am new to being behind the camera, I have been on the other side plenty. I grew up showing AQHA, dipped my toes in reining & currently reside in barrel racer land. My life with horses has made me value the art of photography - the quiet moments, personal bests, pep talks with your mentor (or in my case, my dad), that favourite outfit, last retirement ride or final goodbye. My horses have been my life and all along the way there has been someone with a passion and a camera who has kept all of those memories fresh.
That is what drives my love for this - the quiet moments frozen in time, something that will draw you back to revisit for years to come because that split second was caught. So enjoy the world through my lens where quiet moments speak loudest.

Do you travel for photoshoots?
Lets chat! I do not have a set distance right now but I do like to find myself at events so I might already be heading that way. I am currently located in Castor, Ab so I am preferable to Central Alberta.
Can I use the photos for social media and marketing materials?
Of course! I love seeing what adventures my photos go on & when it comes to marketing your animals - those flashy photos that highlight their beauty always come in handy.
Please note that images purchased or made available for use may be subject to additional requirements if images are for commercial or branding purposes. Photos remain property of the photographer (Willow) and are not to be used for financial gain.
What is your process for working with brands?
Lets chat ! I prefer the lifestyle vibe so if you are looking for more of an "in the wild" style then I just might be your gal! Branding and commercial use may come with additional requirements that will be discussed on a per session basis.
Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Travel expenses within 60km are included in my packages. Inquiries outside of that range will be discussed. Please note that each session will be individually reviewed and if the distance is deemed out of my range at this time then we will have to reconnect at a later date.
